The 'Frame Shoe Rack' is a simple single material object made out of bent tubular steel. The objective was to create an easy to manufacture design that serves as a stage for the shoes that sit on it. The Frame Shoe Rack is manufactured using 3 primary parts, one A frame and 2 loops that slide on top of the frame and are welded in place.
The specifically designed angle of the A frame ensures the correct height of the two loops during assembly. The overall dimension of the loops were designed to accommodate the full range of sizes across men's and women's shoes.
The Frame Shoe Rack was an exercise in simplicity aimed at seamlessly bringing organization to the modern home.
